Thirteen
When I walked into the kitchen the next morning, all four of the Brenners were there in various states of their breakfast process. Mr. Brenner was refilling his coffee cup. Mrs. Brenner was wiping down the island. Avery and Liam were both hunched over bowls of cereal at the table.
I stepped inside and closed the door behind me. âGood morning.â
As everyone else greeted me with words, Liam got up from the table and walked straight to me, wrapping his arms around me.
âHey, bud.â I hugged him tightly, rubbing his back before pulling away. âDid you sleep, okay?â
Liam looked down his torso, and I could see the tenting of his hard-on beneath his shorts. Before I realized it, he had unzipped his shorts and was pulling them down.
âNo, Liam.â I stilled his hands and pulled his shorts back up. âNot here.â
His eyes went wide and he looked scared, like he was in trouble.
I ran my fingers through his hair to soothe his worries. âItâs okay, but this is something you do in private.â I didnât dare look up and make eye contact with any of the other family members as I pulled the front of his T-shirt over his crotch. âWhy donât you go to your room and close the door. Iâll come check on you in a few minutes.â
He stared deeply into my eyes and dropped his chin just once before he turned away and disappeared up the stairs, leaving me alone with his slack-jawed family.
I slipped my hands into my pockets and took a deep breath before I finally looked up. âSorry about that. We, uh, had a bit of a breakthrough last night.â
âAhhh.â Avery covered her ears and grabbed her bowl. âAt least wait until Iâm out of the room.â She disappeared into the family room with her breakfast in hand. A few seconds later, the TV came on. Loudly.
Biting my lip, I turned back to Mr. and Mrs. Brenner. âIâm not really sure what to say right now.â
Mr. Brenner chuckled under his breath. âWell, he seems to be less stressed now.â
Mrs. Brenner smacked her husbandâs arm. âYou donât have to apologize, Wyatt. Weâre grateful for all that youâre doing to help our son. Maybe you should go check on him.â
It was awkward as fuck to have them know what was going on between me and their son, but I merely nodded and left the room. My whole purpose for being there was to help Liam. And Liam needed me. That was all that mattered. As long as they didnât think I was doing anything wrong, I didnât let myself worry about the optics of the situation.
When I got to Liamâs room, his door was shut, so I knocked once before opening it up and peeking my head inside. He was lying on his bed in the exact position we had been in the night before. His fist was flying furiously up and down his cock and whimpering sounds escaped his throat.
I wasnât exactly sure what he needed from me, but I stepped inside and closed the door behind me.
